I'm holding on to my mobile number as well, and it shares the last 4 digits with the old landline, so there is some sort of reminiscence.

To avoid spam many websites make you fill out a CAPTCHA, or log in via an account at a corporation such as Twitter, Facebook, Google or even Microsoft GitHub.
