GNU General Public License version 3
It has been in the making for a while; now GNU GPL v3 has been published.
I guess it has been too long since I read version 2 for me to remember the great differences, besides the patents-part.
Speaking of patents, Slashdot recently linked to an article by Freeman Dyson about biology/genetechnology, patents and open source: Our Biotech Future in The New York Review of Books.
