Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean - first impressions #android
A couple of days ago my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone upgraded itself to Android v4.1.1, Jelly Bean.
Likes:
- It feels smoother. May be self-suggestion?
- There are now different volume levels for headphones unplugged and plugged. Good!
- The order of the tabs in the music player is better for my use now.
- The music player has a play queue now.
- It is now possible to copy from the quoted text in the email application.
- The boot animation is less... bombastic.
Undecided:
- Google Now... is it really useful?
- When I enter a previously unknown word a window pops up asking me to add it to the dictionary.
- When I add a new word, I now have to press the space bar afterwards.
Dislikes:
- The animation when unlocking - I don't like the big pixel cloud, it looked smoother in the previous version.
- New apps that try to hawk books, films etc.
- Some buttons in the alarm clock app has moved around. I guess it is more aligned with the overall style now, but I have to relearn where to touch.
To check:
- Has the 48 kHz problem been fixed?
