4 days till newyear... #Overground

🕕︎ - 1999-12-27

boo.com is supposed to be a cool shopping experience on the net. Well, on my computer I get a "Syntax Error" (yes, the good ole days!), and a red page telling me that boo is in a newly opened window. Ain't no window here. Not that I wanted it to open in another window... One potential customer lost due to fancy scripting. Oh well. It's not about customers, you know...!

It is not often it happens, but I have to disagree with Calvin on this one!

Jakob Nielsen put up his predictions for the web in year 2000. Nothing surprising there, I think. He also <a href="http://www.useit.com/alertbox/981227_revisited.html"

reviews his predictions for 1999.

The challenge to crack a LinuxPPC-box has ended - the box was cracked (buggy ftp-daemon). The winner gets the box. I can't even remember how Microsofts similar Windows 2000-challenge ended. Did their system ever get past stumbling and falling over?

How to in excruciating detail…
