Raspberry Pi powered USB hub #computers #hardware #jukebox
Since I replaced my Mac Mini in the role as jukebox with a Raspberry Pi I went looking for a powered USB hub, because the Raspberry Pi didn't provide enough juice to run the USB harddrive that I store my music on.
Today I got a Conceptronic 4 Ports Powered USB 2.0 Hub (C4USB2 V3) - it works great so far, it even powers the Raspberry Pi, so I don't need a separate power supply for the Pi itself.
Woohoo!
Update: Ok, the harddisk just fell off, so I'll try using the separate power supply for the Raspberry Pi, and see if that makes a difference.
