Katie is to be a CVS replacement with a twist of NFS(!?). Subversion is another such replacement - aiming at all the current CVS features as well as directories, renames, symlinks and meta-data versioning and more. WebDAV.
IBM makes a cutish small keyboard for desktops - with the trackpoint on it. I think I'd like one.
A screenshot of The GIMP running on MacOS X (rootless X). That is probably pretty amazing in itself, but chat caught my eyes was the little girl with her arms crossed - she's got attitude! :-)
