Robots on Antartica

A self-controlling (autonomous) robot explores Antarctica looking for meteorites. That sounds like fun! Is uses two Windows NT pc's, one RedHat Linux pc and a VME box. I would have been surprised if there was no Linux on it :-) Oooh! There is a name for those tiny counter-thingies that are everywhere - webbugs! And even a faq! Dumb name, though. A bug is a well defined computer-term already, and it isn't related to webbug... Jamie Zawinsky has an Emacs Timeline on his website. Emacs is almost as old as I am!
