This thread on d-a-d.com is hilarious in all its 1998'sness.

Especially given that d-a-d.com, even in the days where some sites were still "optimized" for some specific browser or other, worked in all browsers in (then) current use.

The HTML for d-a-d.com was even specifically changed to get Netscape 4.08 to render it as intended, because that Netscape-version had a precious userbase.

Giving props where props are due is fine, but giving props for something that has always been that way is kind of silly.

It smells more like: "I'm so cool, I'm not using Microsoft Internet Explorer any more!"

Bah, humbug.

To avoid spam many websites make you fill out a CAPTCHA, or log in via an account at a corporation such as Twitter, Facebook, Google or even Microsoft GitHub.

I have chosen to use a more old school method of spam prevention.
