Keith Devlin: The Language of Mathematics #math
On a whim I bought The Language of Mathematics by Keith Devlin a while back. It seems to give a nice, non-technical view into how mathematics has developed, how it has affected humankind, and some ideas about what "it is". It's (almost) a pageturner. I wish someone had told me to read it right after highschool. (It had not been written yet, then, though).
