GNU Emacs 22.1 released! #emacs
Today hell froze over as GNU Emacs 22.1 was released.
The previous stable version 21.1 was released almost 6 years ago, making the GNU Emacs release cycle thrice as slow as the Debian GNU/Linux ditto.
Here is the release announcement.
To avoid spam many websites make you fill out a CAPTCHA, or log in via an account at a corporation such as Twitter, Facebook, Google or even Microsoft GitHub.
I have chosen to use a more old school method of spam prevention.
