Emacsconf 2021 bail #emacs
This weekend EmacsConf 2021 is held - as the previous years it is completely online.
I followed the conference in 2019 and 2020, and started watching again this year, as well as following along on the IRC channel #emacsconf on the libera.chat network.
The previous years I have felt a disconnect, and it's no different this year. The talks I find less interesting or engaging are the ones that people are waxing most enthusiastically about in the channel.
I think it's great that the conference exists and that people spend a lot of time an effort on it - however I'm bailing out this year - it's just not my thing, however much I like Emacs. It's not you, it's me, I'm sure.
