The Federation of Danish Motorowner's magazine "Motor" has a letter from a reader, who mistakenly uses the word "slidtage". I first thought that they included the readers letter verbatim, and therefore didn't correct the mistake, but, alas, the answer also includes the superfluous 'd'(!)
