Formatting the wrong partition; Mac #apple

If you ever - and I hope you never - do something as silly as I did recently, format the wrong partition on a Mac OS X computer, I can recommend Prosoft Engineerings "Data Rescue II" product. You'll need an extra harddisk to transfer the recovered files to and some patience, but it did the job nicely for me.

While I think the possibility to try out the program (scanning the disk, recovering one file of less than 5MB) before purchasing it is great, I do think it is a little unreasonable to charge 5$ for the download of a 200MB disk-image needed to burn a bootable cd...
