How often do you replace your home computer?
Every year? Every other year? Every third, fifth, seventh year?
I'm curious - leave a comment.
I will go first myself: Last time I replaced mine was march 2006, so I've been using the current one for over two and a half years.
I don't remember how long the previous one lasted.
My current one (which will be disassembled sometime next week) is approximately five years old counting from the purchase of the CPU and initial motherboard.
And the laptop is four years old and horridly broken :)

Anders: Thanks, I guess I can't use you as an excuse to get a new home computer for myself ;-)
It's more than 3 years since the last hardware upgrade. I don't really know when I got it. Maybe 4-5 years ago?
My laptop is about 2 years old and my eee is from May.
Maybe I need to use my laptops age instead, it is roughly 3 years, 27 weeks, 3 days, 14 hours since I got it.
(That was 12 weeks after I ordered it. I don't like the International Postoffice of the Danish Postal Service very much. But that is another story.)
Thanks for the feedback! This is the liveliest discussion on koldfront.dk in... I was going to say decades, but that would have been an exaggeration so "years" it is.
Maybe I should write about aging computers more often.
