High Fidelity #Coop

๐Ÿ•๏ธŽ - 2000-09-29

We finally managed to see "High Fidelity", with the Danish hope of a superstar actress Iben Hjejle. I wasn't that impressed. In the beginning of the movie the talking-to-the-camera thing annoyed me, but as the movie rolled on, it becames less so. What I was looking for was the Bob Dylan-references, of course. "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" was used briefly in one scene (John Cusack, playing the main character, Rob, visits Lisa Bonets window-frame-surrounded bed) - splash one. In another, in the recordshop, a customer is told not to tell anybody that he hasn't got "Blonde on Blonde" and then quickly buy it, before anyone finds out - splash 2. After a funeral, a rainy night, "Most of the Time" comes on; the only place in the movie that the music really was well-chosen and perfectly fitting (I got chills :-)), I thought - splash three. The movie ends rosy-rosy, naturally.
